“Incredibly professional and hospitable crew. They worked like a well oiled machine, making the our entire dive experience seamless and without any issue. The crew was incredibly friendly and a pleasure to live aboard with…The best parts were the hammerheads and Galapagos sharks coming in close, curious to see the strange divers. There was also some fun current dives that tested your skills.” – Carlos Alberto Mauleon, Cancun Mexico

We departed Puntarenas en route to Cocos Island with Hurricane Julia on our tails. We had a pretty intense crossing, but luckily everyone made it in one piece! Dirty Rock was overall the most active dive site this week, along with Small Dos Amigos where we saw lots of Galapagos sharks and hammerheads both at the cleaning stations and out in the blue. We also came face to face with some tiger sharks at these two locations.

Manuelita Outside had variable visibility this week with hammerheads along with massive schools of mullet snappers, jacks and bonitos. We also saw a giant manta ray here. In the Channel we found ourselves lost in another immense school of jacks, which was an absolutely magical experience.

Punta Maria had some strong currents, with whitetips at the cleaning station and a close encounter with a female pregnant tiger shark.

The arch at Big Dos Amigos was full of life, with hammerheads swimming against the current on the north face of the rock and tiger sharks stopping in to say hello. We saw more hammerheads and a tiger out in the blue.

On afternoon dives at Pajara we saw various mantis shrimp and a seahorse, as well as three frogfish on a single dive at Manuelita Coral Garden.

Incredibly professional and hospitable crew. They worked like a well oiled machine, making the our entire dive experience seamless and without any issue. The crew was incredibly friendly and a pleasure to live aboard with…The best parts were the hammerheads and Galapagos sharks coming in close, curious to see the strange divers. There was also some fun current dives that tested your skills.
