Dive conditions when we got to Cocos were fantastic – the island welcomed us with beautiful  visibility and warm water, along with whitetip reef sharks, bigeye jacks, sea turtles, and blacktips.

Our 2nd day we started out at Dirty Rock, where we encountered a swarm of bigeye jacks followed by a school of hammerheads out in the blue. Punta Maria had a chilly thermocline at 85ft, and we saw some hammerheads there as well as bluefin trevally & black jacks hunting around the pinnacle.

The following day, day 3, we checked out Submerged Rock, viewing numerous whitetips and a variety of fish. Our afternoon dive at Pajara showed us we many whitetip reef sharks, a silvertip, and a large tiger shark toward the end!

Our 4th day was spent at Big Dos Amigos, where we discovered an abundance of fish beneath the arch – but unfortunately we experienced subpar visibility. The dives at Small Dos Amigos were much better, and there we had close encounters with tiger sharks, Galapagos sharks, and an oceanic blacktip. At Manuelita Outside, we saw hammerheads, eagle rays, cow nose rays and then a giant manta!

Our 5th day had us returning to Alcyone, where we swam with  tunas, and enjoyed some sightings of hammerheads. The best part of today was at the Manuelita Coral Garden, where we came face to face with a WHALE SHARK!

Day 6 we saw more hammerheads, a school of jacks, and a frogfish during our dive at Manuelita Channel. Alcyone was brimming with fish, jack and schooling mullet snappers, wahoos, and a few hammerheads.

On our last day, day 7, we visited Small Dos Amigos for some cleaning station activity featuring hammerheads and Galapagos sharks. Our final dive at Dirty Rock was just remarkable, with schools of jacks and hammerheads weaving through the blue! The very best way to end an expedition to Cocos Island. Our crossing back to Puntarenas was smooth, with pleasant weather and very calm sea conditions. We can’t wait to go back!

Every dive was fantastic, but my favorite was Small Dos Amigos where we encountered a juvenile whale shark! We also saw many Galapagos sharks and hammerhead sharks here. The exceptional dive crew made the whole experience an absolutely unforgettable one. Big big thank you!

The genuine warmth of each staff is touching. You have a wonderful team, and I cannot express my appreciation enough to your team for going above and beyond in making this trip truly amazing. Big thank you to the kitchen staff for being so accommodating to our big asian appetite! Dive crew is absolutely exceptional – knowledgeable, friendly, and above all, very concerned for our safety at all times. I could really feel their passion for their work, and that made every dive enjoyable. I also love the attention to detail in all the facilities. Everything is made very convenient and my stay throughout the trip was very very comfotable.

I most loved seeing a hammerhead shark from close by. Seeing a tiger shark, a whale shark and a school of hammer head sharks was very impressive. I generally liked seeing the rich marine life with many big fish. The most impressive dives were at Alcyone, small Dos Amigos and Dirty Rock, but I also liked diving through the arch at Submerged Rock, pushing my way through a big school of fish. I loved the whole trip to Cocos Island and would like to come back some day. Thank you for the great experience¡
