Our first day of diving started off on a high note at Manuelita, with plenty of hammerheads to greet us and happy faces all around. On the second day we headed to Roca Sucia (Dirty Rock). The cleaning station was quiet, but the blue was alive with hammerheads, giving us some fantastic encounters. With hardly any current and a cold thermocline arriving, the schools of hammerheads circled in around the rock, making it one of the best dives of the season so far. The rest of the day was a bit quieter in terms of hammerheads, but still filled with lots of reef fish action.

The next day’s dives brought even more highlights. At Manuelita and Alcyone we enjoyed lots of hammerheads out in the blue. At Dos Amigos Grande the conditions were exciting and we had a lovely manta encounter. At Dos Amigos Pequeño we were treated to a beautiful school of hammerheads. In the afternoon, at Punta Puertitos, four silvertips stayed with us for the entire dive.

Sunday was an incredible day — every dive was packed with hammerheads, especially at Dirty Rock, and visibility improved dramatically. On Monday, Dos Amigos Pequeño brought plenty of hammerheads and Galapagos sharks, while Alcyone was relatively quiet. At Manuelita Coral we had hammerheads in the blue and a huge school of jacks to round off the day.

Tuesday kept the excitement going. At Manuelita we found strong current and lots of jacks, and at Dos Amigos Pequeño the Galapagos sharks passed several times at the cleaning station despite the current. The afternoon dive in the channel was cold but refreshing, with great sightings all around. We encountered plenty of silver tips at Porites.

Our final day gave us some of the best diving of the trip! At Dirty Rock the blue was full of hammerheads once again, and Manuelita delivered one of the top dives of the year. Hammerheads streamed in from every direction, and several massive Galapagos sharks hunted through the schools, passing just inches from our divers. It was truly unforgettable! Another trip for the record books!

In 24 dives, we saw 8 species of shark as (including whale shark), 4 species of ray ( including a giant manta), sailfish, countless species of fish (Bat and frog) and coral. I have 1500 dives over 20 years and my best three dives ever are here.

Every dive in cocos is exciting since anything can show up. Our dives at dirty rock and manuelita were full of hammerheads and Galapagos sharks. Dos Amigos small had a nice whale shark fly by and close encounters with big galapagos sharks. We saw a tiger at Purites and a nice manta surprise at Pájara. Overall just a magical week. The crew is incredible, the food is healthy and delicious, the diving operation is very well maintained and dialed in. The boat has so much storage space which is extremely helpful. Manuel is seriously the greatest cruise director of all time and one of the reasons I want to come back to Cocos with this operation.

First time in Cocos, so much better than what I was hoping for or read about before the trip. Spectacular diving. Best staff! Everybody and everything I could ask for. Plus had a DAN certified doctor on board full of great information. Great food!

Incredible dive sites with fantastic guides. Cocos Island delivers! In 1 epic memorable dive, we saw huge schools of hammerheads, galapagos sharks, dolphins, manta rays, mobula rays, an eagle ray, a yellowfin tuna, and a sailfish! Fantastic boat, crew, and service! Special mention for Manuel’s humor and good vibes, Burro’s hard work and kindness, Pollito’s cleanliness, and Chicco’s cooking. The crew also made sure to keep safety first always and I felt secure due to the many emergency features of the ship.
