We’re just back from a PHENOMENAL trip to Cocos Island!
On a single dive in Manuelita Channel we observe SIX different tiger sharks! We also enjoyed the massive school of jacks. The icing on the cake was the super curious manta that kept coming in close, hovering right in front of us!
Small Dos Amigos was fantastic, with Galapagos sharks and hammerheads continuously coming in to be cleaned. Big Dos Amigos had an incredible surprise in store for us. After swimming through the arch, we emerged at the other side to find ourselves face to face with a school of 200+ hammerhead sharks hanging out in the current! We spent about 15 minutes feeling as if we were a part of the school before wrapping up the dive. It was just magical!
At Punta Maria we saw many marble rays lining up in formation and following around a huge female, preparing to mate, and a school of around 50+ hammers. We also saw marble ray mating behavior at Manuelita – there was a group of 7 males pursuing a female hiding within a cave. At Alcyone we observed Galapagos sharks, tuna, and blacktips.
On afternoon dives at Pajara we saw all kinds of life, from giant tiger sharks to tiny seahorses. At Viking Rock we saw endemic fish and manta rays both at the surface and below.
For our final dive at Small Dos Amigos, we spent the majority of the dive enjoying non-stop cleaning station action with Galapagos sharks, hammerheads, blacktips and tuna. This was followed up by an encounter with a massive school of 200+ hammerheads out in the blue (which we were able to spend another 20 minutes with!!), during which dolphins came up out of nowhere to say hello at the safety stop.

Exelente trabajo smulik en todas las direcsiones,organizasion,buseo,divemaster,cocinero ,capitan y todo lo staff increible experienza que quedera’ grabada en mi mente por toda mi vida!!
I really enjoyed dirty rocks! It was like the most spectacular festival ever! I enjoyed the mix of schools of fishes, sharks and all the colors of the sea, Really good boat, amazing equipment, nice team, i felt very safe and well taken care of. Our dive master was really skilled (Carlos).
The marine life magnificence show in its diversity at cocos, astuning with big powerful graceful creatures like sharks or manta rays. Very pleased with the accomodations, crew is amazing
Main highlight: Tiger shark upclose 8′ close encounter during safety stop!!! Other memorable dive exp: Manta ray! Hammerheads! Eagle rays! Frogfish. Large schools of fish etc. Everyone on board ship was amazing. Our dive masters Geo & Dani i feel was super knowledgable, confident and safe and boat operator Almond was integral in how awesome our dive experiece was. Going down in the sub was also amazing Arik was a great guide, super knowledgable and passionate – Tal was being trained, i enjoyed his process and skills. Food was avarage and yet very fullfilling – kitchen staff was on it and very friendly and caring. Our room was comfy and spacious – had our bed made everyday was a special treat.
Amazing staff & service, Giovanni/Daniel/Olman were on top of their game, great personalities, fun to hang out with for a week & most importantly i felt safe diving with them. The ship was perfect & clean. Sub experience was profound and so special. I will recommend this experince to anyone who asks ❤️
