We had a very nice crossing—sunny with almost no waves at all until the last part of the crossing. We had aboard Randall Arauz and his team of scientists. The first day of diving was fantastic—already really nice, as we saw lots of hammerheads, dolphins, and a manta ray—what a strong start!

Some of our dives at Alcyone were mind-blowing. Sharks everywhere! There were Galapagos, blacktips, and hammerheads coming in very close to the rock and our divers. It was awesome. There was a very strong current, so the sharks were either swimming against the current and seemed static or going with the current and passing over our heads really quickly. Then a manta appeared and came close to our group before disappearing into a school of bigeye jacks. Again… it was just mind-blowing!

On one of our dives at Dirty Rock, conditions were challenging regarding the current. During the dive, we heard a really loud sound like a bang. When we finished the dive, the skiff driver told us that he saw a humpback whale jumping just where we were diving, which made sense due to the loud sound. Then we saw its calf jumping a few times before returning to the boat.

We saw some mobula rays and quite a few Galapagos sharks when we went to Small Dos Amigos, which was fun. We observed Galapagos sharks coming in close to the cleaning station, some hammerheads, and at the end of the dive, two mobula rays swimming together.

At Punta Maria, there were a lot of different fish schools, and we saw some hammerheads coming close to the rocks and a few Galapagos as well. Toward the very beginning of the dive, we also saw a silver tip shark—it was such a fun dive! Manuelita Coral Garden had some hammerheads going over the reef in small groups, as well as a frogfish at the end of the dive. Small schools of hammerheads were passing close to the sandy bottom and some over the reef, and there was so much fish activity!

At Dirty Rock, we had some Galapagos coming in close, followed by hammerheads and a huge school of bigeye jacks. Soon after, we had dolphins coming in close to the school of fish and to the dive group, and when we drifted into the blue, we found a small school of hammerheads! What a magical dive.

Diving was incredible. This has been a bucket list trip for me. I have been planning this trip for a few years. Dirty rock was my favorite, the abundance was AMAZING! The sharks were everywhere! The fish, the eels, the rays. What a thrill! I am so happy and feel so fortunate to have experienced it. I will never forget. Everything was amazing! The food, the staff, the diving. I loved everyone. The Divemasters were so great. Diego, knew everywhere to go and where all the sharks were. Ian was fabulous with the customers. Hector was hilarious and Luis was a great spotter. I am so fulfilled and feel so happy. What a fabulous experience.

Excellent diving with an abundance of marine life. The diversity is next level with so many species on each and every dive. If you are here to see sharks this is the place and when your are not looking at them there are so many creatures great and small, Diego and Hector were attentive and made the trip that extra special.

It was amazing and the sharks were incredible! Ian, Diego and Hector were fantastic dive masters and so helpful. Everyone was very courteous and professional. Pollito was incredibly polite. The chef Saul really presented delicious appetizing meals.

Alcyone and around Manuelita were the best dives. The schools of hammerhead sharks. Galapagos sharks everywhere. Saul made his first trip on the boat with spectacular food everyday.  The skiff is very confortable and feels secure exiting each dive. The blue panga with Pipi in the skiff, Luis and Ian as Divemasters get us for the Experience in Cocos Island. The best experience with Luis decisions in each dives, the assistance from the crew improves this adventure.

Our checkout dive was a fabulous start to the adventure with a parade of hammerheads. The reefs were teeming with fish, rays and sharks, and some dolphins. The dive masters, Louis, Ian, Hector, and Diego took us to the best sights to see the hammerheads. The crew was on point with what was needed and worked as a team! The captain, director and dive masters communicate the daily plans and ensured our questions were answered and needs met. They were fun above and below water. Highly recommend!
