What a warm welcome Cocos Island gave us this trip! On our very first day, we descended and began to hear dolphins and whales singing, setting the mood for not only the dive but the entire trip. We saw quite a few yellowfin tunas passing close to the surface and lots of hammerheads coming in close to the rocks. Out in the blue, we spotted a tiger shark passing by, followed by a manta ray and a massive school of bigeye jacks. Then, a huge school of hammerheads appeared as we were drifting into the blue. What an incredible dive!

At Porites Bay, one of our newer dive sites, we spent about 20-30 minutes in the meeting spot for the silvertip sharks, where we spotted about four—two medium-small ones and two rather large ones that kept coming back. There was also a big blacktip that came close to the dive group, and a frogfish. Lastly, as we were getting ready to begin our safety stop, we spotted a small group of hammerheads, and then a manta ray. What a way to wrap up the dive!

Manuelita Outside showed us more frogfish, octopuses, turtles, manta rays, and a group of three cownose rays — not to mention the school of hammerheads as we drifted into the blue!

Small Dos Amigos’ cleaning station was super active, with Galapagos and hammerheads coming in really close to our divers. At the end of the dive, we found the school of hammerheads and a manta ray. Again, we saw an immense school of hammerheads as we were going into the blue, and as the skiff was picking us up we saw a couple of dolphins.

Alcyone was full of hammerheads, Galapagos, and blacktips. When we ventured into the blue, we found huge schools of hammerheads that were very relaxed and came super close to our dive group. Dirty Rock gave us massive schools of both jacks and hammerheads!

At Manuelita Coral Garden, we saw even more hammerheads than expected, and we finished the dive with the frogfish. We said goodbye to the island and hugged and high-fived our new diving friends under the water during the safety stop!

Roca sucia, Manuelita outside have been the best dive sites during our trip. Very active cleaner stations with lots of Hammerhead and Galapagos sharks. Sometimes a Tiger shark passes or nervous oceanic Blacktip sharks showed around. We had no dive without Hammerheads during the whole week!! Small Dos Amigos has also been brilliant diving with a huge school of Jackfish surrounding us by diving not the blue before our savetystopp where again big groups like f Hammerheads turned up to wave us goodbye. We all feel very very sorry that me must leave this unbelievable amazing place in the open pacific. We all fell in love and got addicted to beautiful Cocos Island and we surely coming back, Pura Vida!!

The ship has all you need, super dive deck and storage for camera equipment, cabins are good and have everything you can expect on a ship of that size.
The crew was amazing, did excellent service at all time, always helpful, always friendly, always available. Everyone on board made a great job, Roberto, Ian, Hector and Diego thanks for perfect guiding. Also thanks to Gilberto for keeping the ship and all technical things running and thanks to Pipi for driving the skiff and keeping us save in the waves even with just one hand. All the best for your injured one, it will be good in a few days. Last but not least I have to thank the kitchen crew for their fantastic work, Chef Chico, Emanuel and Pollito just incredibly good! The last note for the captain Raul who took us savely through the rough crossing to Cocos Island and thank god much calmer back to the port. I have very much enjoyed the trip and is was a pleasure being your guest, thanks for the service! Hope to see you soon, Pura Vida!

My favorite Divesites was Dirty Rock and Small Dos Amigos. The many kind of sharks was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The quality of food was perfect. The best dive safari ever. <3

Small dos amigos, dirty rock, manuelita outside
That was the greatest dives for a long time. Especially the schools of hammer”s we had almost every dive. The most amazing experience was the sound of the singing humpback whale at manuelita outside. Roberto, Ian and also Pipi did the best job to make us happy and feel comfort. Raul, our captain looked for a safety turn. Chef Chico with Emanuel and Pollito for delicious food, the engineer Gilberto for running boats and working on machines. All the crew team worked excellent together for our enjoyable comfort. A great thank to all of them. You are a great crew!! I’m sure I come back to this beautiful island and dive sites soon. Hope to see you than all again.
